Katie

Katie is the owner of Distinction Health and Beauty. Katie has worked in the beauty industry for twelve years and came straight to work for Distinction from college. Having built up experience and a wealth of knowledge, Katie decided to follow her dreams and buy the salon she loved working in. She had already built up an excellent reputation and an ever-increasing client base, so it seemed the right direction to move in. Katie is passionate about recreating the same spa environment she was used to but continuously adding new and more advanced treatments to the treatment list. The success of the salon has well exceeded Katie’s expectations, with many clients booking appointments months in advance and travelling from all over Scotland and England to be treated by her. In her first year in business, she won the Independent Business of the Year Award in the local community and is striving for more awards and recognition for her salon and dedicated and hardworking staff. Katie’s commitment extends beyond her business achievements. She actively participates in local charity events, offering free treatments to support various causes. Her leadership has also created a nurturing work environment, where her team feels valued and motivated to deliver the best service possible. Katie believes in continuous learning and regularly attends industry conferences and workshops to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. Her vision is to make Distinction Health and Beauty a benchmark for excellence in the beauty industry.

Lorraine

Lorraine is joint assistant manager of the salon with April and is the longest serving member of the Distinction having joined in 2003. As I am sure you can imagine, her experience makes her popular amongst our client and she has built great friendships with them over the last twenty years. She loves giving massage and advanced facials but her favourite treatment is advanced electrolysis. She is the only therapist in the salon who can perform this advanced treatment and the results she gets are amazing. If it is advanced treatments and a great chat you are looking for then Lorraine is your girl.

April

April is Distinctions assistant manager with Lorraine. She enjoys nails and brow lamination but her passion lies with skincare. After having acne for 10 years she went on her own skin journey and decided she wanted to help advise others. She excels in all skin knowledge to help treat and educate her clients about skin types and conditions. She absolutely loves doing facials and if you book in with her you'll see how amazing she is at them. It is safe to say you are in good hands and April will have you relaxed in no time. Her hardworking and bubbly nature means the salon would not be complete without her. April works full time and is very popular so make sure to book in advance to guarantee your appointment.

Demi

After working in another salon, Demi decided she wanted to be in a salon that offers a wider variety of treatments. Her favourite treatment is lash lifts and the results she produces are amazing. Demi is also fantastic at massage - if you have a sore back or neck problems be sure to book in with her. You won’t be left disappointed. Since Demi joined the team, she has fitted in with the girls like she has been here forever. She has a lovely caring nature and is very easy to talk to.

Taylor Jade

TJ as we know her, is the ray of sunshine we didn't know we needed at Distinction. Every time she walks through the door, she lightens the mood of everyone around her. She loves when her day is varied and enjoys doing training to continuously develop her skills. Her favourite treatment of all time is the Hydr02 facial as she loves to gets results for every client with it. Really she is happy for any facials. Nails and eyebrows are a close second. So if its a skin brighten up or a perfect eyebrow shape you are after TJ is the therapist for you. She works full time including evening and every second Saturday.

Evie

A little about Evie- I have 11 years of beauty experience working both in salons and spas in the UK and overseas. I specialise in gel nails with BIAB, lashes, brows and waxing- anything with instant results that gets you feeling nice and ready for holidays and occasions. I love meeting new clients and building a rapport. I can’t wait to work alongside the girls at Distinction!

Caroline

Being the only sports massage therapist makes Caroline unique within the salon. She loves helping clients with specific injuries and supporting them in reaching their goals. Caroline thoroughly enjoys opportunities to bring different modalities into treatments including medical acupuncture, function cupping, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and kinesiology taping. She also enjoys being able to tailor treatments to help clients with conditions such as TMJ and fibromyalgia. Caroline's unique skills make her a great asset to the team, and as someone who books new training each month you will be guaranteed she will have something to help you.

Francesca

Francesca is part of our beautiful front of house team. She is responsible for the day to day running of the salon. She organises the team, books in all of your appointments and maintains the high standard of cleanliness in the salon. She also help with all the other behind the scene tasks that help keep Distinction one of the leading salons in the industry and ahead of the competition. She is gorgeous a fab senses of humour which add some extra glamour and laughter to the salon.

Suzi

Suzi is part of our beautiful front of house team. She is responsible for the day to day running of the salon. She organises the team, books in all of your appointments and maintains the high standard of cleanliness in the salon.
